If I've ever learned anything from the renovation, it must be to lean on your instinct. It was a small bungalow with a huge yard when we first visited. Huge cedar trees and the open farmland behind of the house framed the property into an animate-liked scene of Studio Ghibli. Two adventure soles + a furry creature (our puppy Duidui) then decided to start a new journey here, and name our new home, "the Totoro home" shortly after.

Though not love at first sight, our affection for the space grew as we infused it with our vision.
